This week at The Hub Craft Club.

Hello again everyone.

First an apology, It's been a busy week for me this week and taken me a bit longer than I would have liked to get around to this post.

This was our first week, meeting in the Church Rooms, the venue was good and accommodated us well, the only thing we had forgotten was the need to bring our own Tea, Coffee etc. however a quick trip to the CO-OP soon sorted that.

This week Marie had generously offered to demonstrate sugar paste modelling, a craft which I have admired from a distance but never attempted, in fact Marie's demonstration was the first time that I had seen sugar paste transformed into delicate and realistic flowers. Although Marie has been making beautiful sugar craft creations for some while, actually demonstrating the technique to our group was a new experience and I must thank her for sharing her craft with the rest of us.

As you will all realise from Marie's demonstration, sugar craft takes time, allowing petals etc to dry between being made and then assembled, and it would not have been possible for us aall to have a go on Tuesday but if anyone is interested in doing a workshop with Marie, please let her know, she has said that she would be happy to work with a small group of people if they would like to try this craft for themselves.

That's it for now folks except to remind you to look at the Important Information Section (In the side bar) and a New Section I have added called What's On Where. Where we can put information about local events of interest tto crafters.

Bye for now.

Bee
